If you were one of the millions who couldn’t stop laughing when Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell introduced the Best Supporting Actress nominees at the Golden Globes (sorry Tommy Lee Jones), be prepared for overload: Wiig is joining the cast of ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES!
The film’s director, Adam McKay, took to Twitter today to announce that the best thing to come out of Saturday Night Live in the past decade was officially on board for the highly anticipated sequel:
“Just found out Kristen Wiig officially on board for Anchorman 2. Cannonball!”
McKay wasn’t the only one welcoming the BRIDESMAIDS star. Co-star Christina Applegate also shared her excitement, tweeting:
“So excited Kristen Wiig has joined our cast for anchorman2…Going 2 b best movie ever made. Besides the best movies ever made.”
