WATCH AND LISTEN! Mashup Of Carly Rae Jepsen and Nine Inch Nails Is Remarkably Catchy

I LOVE a mashup. Two songs weaved together with the tender loving care of a DJ or soundmixer. When they blend together well, sometimes I like the mashup more than the songs separately! This may be one of those cases.

This mashup, from artist YITT (That’s short for “Yep, I’m The Toaster.” – I don’t know what means, but I love it already.) is pretty amazing in its seamlessness. Either these songs are basically the same, or YITT makes it look all too easy!

Here, he takes Carly Rae Jepsen’s “I Really Like You” and Nine Inch Nails’ “Head Like a Hole” and turns it into a mix of pop and angst that I wouldn’t mind having in my treadmill rotation. Not only that, he’s edited together two of the music videos for even great effect.
