TRAILER: Mercury Rises In This Exciting, New Sneak Peek Of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ - POP GOES THE WEEK!!

TRAILER: Mercury Rises In This Exciting, New Sneak Peek Of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’

Can you imagine going to a major sporting event and not having a “stomp, stomp, clap” moment?! What kind of world would we live in if we didn’t have “We Will Rock You” to rock to?! Luckily for us, a band that was ahead of it’s time created unforgettable music that challenged societal norms, and forged a genre all their own. That band was the one, and only, Queen.

Queen’s legacy has been imprinted into society since it’s formation in the late sixties. Over the years the British band has created a number of timeless hits such as “Another One Bites The Dust” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”…and seriously like a hundred others. While the group was hugely successful, they had their share of hardships too, the biggest being the death of lead singer, Freddie Mercury. Mercury’s meteoric rise to fame quickly made him a worldwide sensation, but it was unique sound and flamboyant style that cemented him as an icon.

For years, there has been buzz around a potential biopic of the band’s tremendous story, but now it seems to finally be happening. A trailer was released today for a biopic entitled Bohemian Rhapsody and it looks like it will be worth the wait. Mr. Robot star, Rami Malek, will take the lead as Mercury, with critics already praising the similarity in appearance. The film promises to tell the whole story, including some of the dark depths surrounding Mercury’s untimely demise due to complications from HIV/AIDS. The movie won’t be released into theaters until November 2nd…but those Queen songs are so long, you can just listen to one of their albums three times over and November will be here!
