D’oh-n’t mess with Marge.
You know it’s a crazy time in politics when animated housewives are getting involved. That’s right, the beloved, blue-haired mom Marge Simpson who has been dazzling our television screens for over thirty years has actually felt the need to speak out during this particularly vicious political time.
Earlier this week campaign advisor and lawyer to President Trump, Jenna Ellis, insulted presumptive Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris’s voice by saying it sounds like that of Marge Simpson’s. Well the creative team behind The Simpsons wasted no time and took to Twitter to post a short video response.

Marge’s response isn’t insulting or harsh but a little heartbreaking in fact. After saying she consulted with her daughter Lisa, the brainiac of the family, and discovered the comparison in voices was not in fact a compliment, she condemns Jenna for name calling.
“If that’s so, as an ordinary suburban housewife, I’m starting to feel a little disrespected. I teach my children not to name-call, Jen-na” the mom of three says.
Of course this isn’t the first time that The Simpsons have gotten political but is always a bit discerning when cartoons have stronger values than those working in our government.
