After months of waiting, false alarms, and a flower-covered belly that could sink the Titanic, Mariah Carey finally gave birth this weekend!
According to People, the 42-year-old pop diva gave birth to twins, a son and daughter, on Saturday. To make the date even sweeter, it is the same day as her and Nick Cannon’s wedding anniversary!
Cannon, 30, tweeted his joy, saying:
“My wife just gave me the most incredible anniversary gift ever in life! I won’t ever be able to top this!”
Carey’s rep says that the baby girl was first to arrive, weighing in at 5 lbs., 3 oz, followed by the baby boy, weighing in at 5 lbs., 6 oz.
Carey’s song “‘We Belong Together” was playing after the twins arrived. (Dunno if that’s a little self-loving….)
