Chaz Bono Advances To The Next Round On Dancing With The Stars… Who Was Cut?

Given the media hype and apparent divide about Chaz Bono’s participation on Dancing With The Stars, it seems many were just waiting to see if he would be the first to be eliminated from the show. But in fact, it was another contestant that was ousted in this season’s first week… and Bono successfully advanced to the next round.

In the end, it came down to Nancy Grace and Ron Artest, the athlete who now goes by the name Metta World Peace (okay…) who were left standing for the last few tense moments

Um, Metta didn’t seem surprised nor devastated. “Everybody give a round of applause to Peta,” he said, speaking of his partner… “she was awesome!”

Much had been made of Chaz Bono’s inclusion in the show in the online world. Bono delivered a first performance that was lauded by the judges Monday night, and dealt with the extra scrutiny with dignity.

Chaz’s mother Cher tweeted “Yeah Chaz” after the news got out.
