Today’s Sign Of The Apocalypse: Snooki May Be Pregnant

In what is the greatest argument for birth control to date, reports claim Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is pregnant.

The New York Post reports that Polizzi, 24, is roughly three months pregnant with her first child – by her boyfriend Jionni LaValle.

Apparently the reality star is already planning to cash in – while Polizzi denied being pregnant earlier this month, she has reportedly already brokered a deal to announce the news on the cover of Us Weekly. She shopped the story to several celebrity magazines before the final deal was made.

The New York Post’s Page Six says that MTV is concerned about public outcry in light of the show’s focus on hard partying and boozing. Snookie and her onscreen pal Jenni “J-WOWW” Farley just started shooting a spinoff to Jersey Shore in Jersey City, New Jersey. (Which, incidentally, is far more stroller friendly than Seaside Heights.

Sources say the bun in the over would dramatically change the direction of the show, perhaps leading to the show’s demise altogether if viewers reject Snooki as anything but a booze hound party girl.
