According to Worst Previews, the LOOPER and DARK KNIGHT RISES actor is teaming up with Warner Bros to develop a remake of the classic musical LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.

Gordon-Levitt would play the lead role of Seymour, the geeky florist who cares for the beast of a plant.  Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the playwright behind Broadway’s “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark,” is on board to write the script. No director has signed on.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS was originally was a 1960 movie from Roger Corman.  It was turned into an off-Broadway musical, which led to a second movie in 1986, starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin.
