Marion Cotillard Confirms She Is NOT Talia Al Ghul in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Marion Cotillard's role in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES has been under the microscope since day one, with fans speculating that the beauty was not just playing Miranda Tate, but Talia Al Ghul, daughter of BATMAN BEGINS villain Ra's Al Ghul (Liam Neeson). Well now, in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cotillard finally says once and for all that that is NOT true.

Marion Cotillard’s role in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES has been under the microscope since day one, with fans speculating that the beauty was not just playing Miranda Tate, but Talia Al Ghul, daughter of BATMAN BEGINS villain Ra’s Al Ghul (Liam Neeson). Well now, in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cotillard finally says once and for all that that is NOT true.

According to JoBlo, the article clearly states that, “All she’ll confirm is that, contrary to some fans’ belief, she does not play Talia, the vengeful daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul, and that she takes the role of Miranda Tate, an ecologically minded businesswoman who “is fascinated by Wayne Enterprises. They go through difficulties, and she wants to help provide the world clean energies. She’s a good guy.” But does she stay that way? “Yes,” she insists.

So while you may be disappointed that the rumors were not true, do you think it’ll have a huge impact on the film as a whole, or do you think that no matter what, Nolan will deliver an amazing closing chapter to this trilogy?

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES hits theaters July 20th.
