WHAT TOOK SO LONG? Monopoly Ready To Retire and Bring In New Game Tokens, Ask Fans For Feedback.

 HASBRO has launched a PR stunt (that frankly should have come 5 years ago) giving fans the chance to choose which of the Monopoly game tokens should be retired, and which NEW token should be chosen to replace it.

The  campaign, called Save Your Token helps you save your fave by ‘voting off’ which one should be given the ‘heave-ho.’ Will it be The battleship, thimble, iron, top hat, wheelbarrow, Scottie dog, racer or shoe? I was alwyas a fan of the Top Hat. They’ve all been around since the 1930s.

The, you pick a new token from choices like a retro robot, a helicopter, a guitar, a ring or a cat to be the new replacement. 

A limited edition Monopoly set featuring all of the classic tokens and the new prototypes will be sold at Target soon.

Until they come up with a Virtual Reality version of Monopoly, this will have to do!
