Oprah is the queen of all media, basically. She can not and will not be dethroned by anyone. (Okay…maybe Ellen will take over in 20 years, but that’s about it…) And now, we are getting word that the queen has spoke about the date of the final original episode of the show that made her famous:.
According to the Associated Press, the final episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” will debut Wednesday, May 25th.
Though the show has been in reruns the past few weeks, Winfrey tweeted on Thursday that she was “hard at work planning the final shows.” New episodes would begin airing April 7, and no word on who the final guest may be.
After her final show, Winfrey will turn her focus and attention to her new cable network, OWN (The Oprah Winfrey Network), which launched on New Years Day of this year.
