It is being reported that Wycelf Jean was shot in the hand on Saturday in Haiti.
According to TMZ, A rep for the singer said the bullet just grazed his hand and he’s doing well, saying,
“He’s fine now. It happened late [Saturday] night and he was released after a couple hours.”
Wyclef says he had just left his car when he heard gunfire. The next thing he noticed, he saw blood on his shirt and shoes. He has no idea who fired shots or whether he was even the target.
The shooting came on the eve of the Haitian presidential elections. Wyclef was a candidate but ruled ineligible because of residency requirements.
