The New Song “San Francisco” Sounds Disturbingly Similar To “California Gurls.” Discuss.

German euro-dance group Cascada (who?) is back with a new single called “San Francisco.” But less than thirty seconds in, you can practically hear the initial discussion that might have taken place:

“Let’s do a song about a place! People in that place seem to love those! Look at how well ‘California Gurls’ did! Come to think of it… you could make it sound kinda like ‘California Gurls’ too! It’s a no-brainer!”

Lead singer Natalie Horler, a more natural looking Heidi-Montag type, has us travelling the city streets in a psychedelic party bus! Trouble is – I keep waiting for Snoop Dog to arrive. He never does.
