Ready to hear one awkward conversation?

For the first time in 13 years, Conan O’Brien visited David Letterman’s show Late Show last night, and within a few seconds, the name “Jay Leno” came up.

Obviously, Letterman, known for pushing buttons, couldn’t resist hitting the topic. And while Conan seemed reluctant at first, the two soon were going back and forth, making jokes about the “golden age of television”, as well as whether or not you have to do the chin wiggle during a Leno impression.

But not the whole conversation was made of jokes. At one point, Dave talked about knowing Leno back in the 70s, and how while he was “the guy” to know, he was also a brat:

the guy the funniest guy he was the guy. He was the guy you’d go to see. He was the guy that you wished you could be more like. He was funny. He was also, uh a bit of a brat. A bit of a brat. So then, oh you know, when this came along, I said to myself, Oh yes, this is the Jay I know.

Watch two clips from last night’s show.I promise you, it’s a very interesting conversation to listen to (and you won’t regret seeing where Conan had to go to meet his assistant literally a day after losing his offices over at NBC…)
