Today’s Not So Shocking Development: Madonna Fragrance Ad Too Racy.
In what some are saying is a case of Striking While The Iron is Cool Madonna has launched a fragrance called “Truth Or Dare.” Yes, inspired by the movie she released in 1991. Now, surprisingly(?) the ad was rejected after being deemed too racy.
In  what some are saying is a case of Striking While The Iron is Cool Madonna has launched a fragrance called “Truth Or Dare.” Yes, inspired by the movie she released in 1991. Now, surprisingly(?) the ad for the fragrance was rejected after being deemed too racy.
After viewing the ad, you might think that it’s just a publicity stunt, because it seems rather safe by today’s standards (whether or not that is sad is your call.) But after viewing the video below, take a look and see what you think.
According to The New York Post, Disney owned ABC took issue with Madonna’s breasts in the commercial, asking for some changes before it airs in primetime:
“ABC viewed the ad [and] came back with a list of changes. They say they want her bra digitally made bigger, and to extend higher to cover more of her chest, and her corset longer to cover more of her bottom. ABC also wants to cut another suggestive scene where Madonna writhes around.”
Take a look and be the judge for yourself. It would seem Madonna could only be pleased… since having things get press for being too provocative has been her specialty over the years.

Budweiser Raises A (Beer) Glass For International Women’s Day With Re-Imagined Ads
The brand tackles old gender stereotypes with new versions of their 1950’s ads.
As part of International Women’s Day, Budweiser has adapted their own old ads, once portraying women as housewives serving their husbands and reworked them into a more modern point of view.
Appearing in the pages of The New York Times, Chicago Tribune or L.A. Times today, the ads still look like the colorful, retro pages of a newspaper from the 1950s, but instead of serving the beer, they’re enjoying it themselves.
Beyond commemorating International Women’s Day, the brand is also a partner with #SeeHer, an industry effort to improve how women are portrayed across all advertising.
